QotD: Step into My Closet

Comments

Gee wizz. I'm not a shoe person, personally. In fact, I'd go as far as to say I ought to be more of a shoe person than I am. You clearly like your shoes!
You don't need a shoe cupboard Kate - it's a cupboard god dammit - but a shoe room. Just don't go into 'Office' their Summer wedges at the moment are divine.

Ooo, summer wedges, you say?

Oink - I seem to remember someone coming away with two pairs of boots after a brief shopping trip with me...

I should probably qualify that I've had some of my shoes for over ten years so they aren't all recent purchases.

Ah! A kindred spirit.
Maybe we should both take photographs of our collections laid out en masse like a sea of footwear. It would be impressive, like looking at pictures of the Grand Canyon.
Oh! That's amazing. I thought my five pairs were quite decadent, but then I am not a proper girl. I should probably buy some sandals but I have Shoe Shop Fear.
You are a proper girl. Kate and I are clearly in the grip of some terrible, all-consuming shoe-based obsession.
I thought I had a fair few shoes but this totally eclipses my collection. I may print out your list and show Sean so he can no longer moan at me. In fact I may use it as reasoning that I should, no NEED to purchase some more pairs. (Post baby, when my feet are normal again).

People would weep to see our shoes in their full glory. So might I - I've still never braved adding up how much they all cost, although I suppose it was better than spending the money on fags and gin.

Oh, I was quite happy with two pairs I have got but clearly I am the most shoe deprived person to comment on here. Boo!
Buying shoes is the definition of Money Well Spent. Ditto gin.

Olivia - get out there and buy yourself some magnificent interview shoes. They will give you POWER.

I'm with you, H... I thought I had a big collection, but actually, I really don't. Mind you, I still don't wear all of them enough to probably having justified buying them, but I only really spend £10-£20 on a pair of shoes anyway, apart from my lovely Duo boots for fat legs...
I am so very, very jealous of your impressive shoe collection. I tend to wear em till I kill em, so as a result I have few pairs. My silly stiletto count is currently only at 4. One pair is strappy, green and suede. Another is asymetric black suede with a round toe (and they are very high and silly indeed). The third are grey and black lace peep toes and they are the latest acquisition. 4 are black and bronze and my silly work shoes that have (in the past) doubled as very successful picking up shoes. I have built outfits around the first and third.
Riss, the best shoes I ever has were some silly killer stilettos with a knife edge thin pointy toe. Black with a deep red interior. Bought on a total whim when I was ditched. I attest to their power in attracting the male of the species and making said ex fall back in love with me (he referred to them as my "fuck me" shoes). Sadly when he became the ex for the second time he kept them. Shudder to think where they are now.

You do realise I want to go and buy shoes right now? And I only bought a pair yesterday!
This post made me, like, dizzy.
