Addendum to point (1) of loathing: postmen who don't bother to bring the parcel with them and just throw the While You Were Out card through your letterbox as you watch from your bedroom window. On Christmas Eve.

I'm so excited about the weekend I might be sick and/or fall over.

Oh that postman sounds shit.

If I am not better by Saturday I am going to be most pissed off, as I'm excited about it too. BIRTHDAYS AND BLOGGERS.
I was incensed by the postman - by the time I got downstairs he was miles down the road, so there's no way he waited. He was quite nice after he found me scowling by his trolley though.
And Lucy - you MUST be better. There will be special cakes and everything.

There's gonna be cake? Really?

Glad to see that on balance there are more positives than the other things, Kate. If you were working, of course (hmf) you would also be rett chuffed that it's not getting dark until around 5.30. But I don't suppose you noticed that at the moment. Did you?

"special cakes"

As in crack cakes? I'm limping there right now!
I'm blogging from the pub. Where ARE you guys?
Plubs - I did notice, but only when I pottered out to go to knitting in the pub. Hence me being in a different pub - sorry Jando.
Lucy - yup, it's the best way to make sure people come back for more.
Good pictorial finds which shall be shared with mates of course?

BBC6 - rather!
Last three packages the postman here has not even rung the bell - as we were home, truck in the drive and everything. We just found the little door knocker. That means we have to wait till after 5pm to claim it from the post office. Delayed-gratification-fuckers.
oooh wotcha all doing at the weekend?

Said postie didn't even bother ringing the doorbell at mine last Saturday. Cue red card and snarly Penny. Hey ho.

PS am not really here. As you were. x

We will be sitting in a pub on the Commercial Road cackling, drinking and possibly even knitting, apparently (picture the Tricoteuses with pints. And cake).
And glitter.
